APS Overview. 8th October 2009
The APS Interface
The customer (with the assistance of their APS Technical Representative) must create a file called clients.csv that will contain a current list of all Client Matter Codes. This should be in the format:
Client Number, Matter Number, Client Name, Matter Description
NOTE: The file must not contain blank fields.
This file should be scheduled to be created at midnight in the folder:
C:\Program Files\PaperCut MF\APSData\
The customer must ensure that there is a reliable schedule in place for creating this file on a daily basis and that there are checks in place to warn them if this file has not been created. The file must be created before midnight each day as the PaperCut Schedule is timed to run at approximately 1.00am
The PaperCut Installer will create a Windows Schedule to convert this csv file into the PaperCut format. This Schedule should run at approximately 12.30 am so it is ready for import into PaperCut at approximately 1.00am
The PaperCut Installer will set the PaperCut “Shared Accounts” Schedule to synchronise with this file
The PaperCut Installer will create a Windows Schedule to export the previous days usage data at approximately 3.00am
This Data will be exported to the following location:
C:\Program Files\PaperCut MF\APSData\JobUsage.txt
The customer (with the assistance of their APS Representative) must set up a schedule to import the Usage Data from the file provided by PaperCut.
The customer must ensure that there is a reliable schedule in place for managing this data file on a daily basis and that there are checks in place to warn them if this file has not been imported into Lawbase. PaperCut will make this file available at 3.00am each day.
