Assigning Admin Rights
In many cases, a schools IT department will want to assign certain administrative rights to users. For example:
Head of Department - Access to Reports Section
Reception and Library - Access to "Add Value to Student Accounts Section"
This example illustrates the flexibility of the PaperCut Administration.
User Rights. Accounts.
In PaperCut, the Administrator can grant certain administrative rights based on either a Group of Users or per user. For example, if synchronised with AD, the HOD Group could be assigned Access to the Reports section.
In this example we have added a user (Scott Christie) .
Once added we then click on the Show/hide details link and this will expand the users rights options as illustrated below.
In this example we have allowed Scott Christie to access the Reports Section and to modify and refund print jobs.
This user will then be able to log onto PaperCut from any Web Browser and access their allocated sections.
