Passive Print Monitoring and Logging in Professional Firms. sample reports

PaperCut MF has been designed to integrate directly with Active Directory Groups.

Some organisations just wish to assign costs to certain Staff Groups. This following example shows how PaperCut MF can be used to passively monitor Printing and copying and charge to designated Active Directory Groups.

In this example we are using a Group called Copy and Print Users and we have added all the appropriate users to this group as illustrated below

Synchronising Users with PaperCut

Now in PaperCut you can select Options - User/Group Sync and Synchronize with the Copy and Print Users Group.

This imports only the users that you want in the system. Selecting the Users Tab you can now see that only your selected group has been imported.

The next step is to define these groups within PaperCut and we do this by selecting the Groups Tab. Mow we are presented with all the available groups from the Active Directory.

Now that the users have been assigned their groups, as they Print and Copy they will their usage will be logged
